John Bayouth, MD

Dr. Mark Bayouth is a board-certified general/ trauma surgeon that currently practices in Fort Worth, TX. He has 20+ years of surgical experience.

He attended Texas Tech University for his undergraduate degree and went on to attend University of Texas- Medical Branch School of Medicine. He completed his surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He is currently seeing patients at John Peter Smith Hospital, Texas Health Harris Methodist, Baylor All Saints Fort Worth, and Plaza Day Surgery of Fort Worth. Dr. Bayouth grew up in Lubbock, Texas and currently resides in Fort Worth, TX. He is married with 3 kids.

Dr. Bayouth has been named to the Top Doctors of Fort Worth by Fort Worth Texas Magazine for 5 consecutive years. He received the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award in 2016.

Dr. Bayouth is an extremely skilled general surgeon and performs open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries every week that include, but are not limited to:

  • lipoma/ mass removal
  • upper GI scopes (EGDs)

His bedside manner is exceptional with all of his patients. Dr. Bayouth takes education very seriously. You will find him as often as 5 days out of the month teaching and on call as a staff general/trauma surgeon at John Peter Smith Hospital. He also has his own medical students on days he is not at JPS.

It is not often you find such a skilled surgeon that can also sit down with you and make you feel comfortable about whatever procedure you may be having.
